In this role as a Ground Support Software Engineer (Senior Member of Technical Staff/Engineering Specialist - Software Systems Engineering), you will develop advanced LabVIEW solutions, design and optimize Python-based applications for ground support equipment, and drive innovation through prototyping.

This is a full-time position based in El Segundo, CA.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, implement, and maintain LabVIEW applications with a particular focus on image acquisition and processing to support aerospace testing and validation

  • Create and optimize Python-based desktop applications for Ground Support Equipment to facilitate automated test setups and data collection

  • Interface with a wide range of test instrumentation, ensuring robust data acquisition, system integration, and effective troubleshooting

  • Work alongside test engineers, software developers, and hardware specialists to identify challenges, innovate solutions, and drive performance improvements

  • Rapidly prototype experimental test setups and data acquisition solutions that meet evolving project requirements

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for a Senior Member of Technical Staff:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline

  • 3 years of experience or more in software development with a strong emphasis on LabVIEW and Python within a test instrumentation or aerospace environment

  • Demonstrated expertise in image acquisition and processing using LabVIEW, including the development of custom imaging solutions

  • Willingness to travel as needed to remote operations sites

  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required.

In addition to the requirements above, the minimum requirements for an Engineering Specialist are:

  • 6 years of total experience in software development with a strong emphasis on LabVIEW and Python within a test instrumentation or aerospace environment

  • Experience designing and developing desktop applications for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) with effective integration into test systems

  • Experience interfacing with diverse test instrumentation to facilitate data collection, system control, and diagnostic

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field

  • Hands-on experience with electronics hardware design, testing, or troubleshooting for remote or field operations environments

  • Certification in LabVIEW development or relevant experience with advanced test instrumentation interfacing

  • Experience with rapid prototyping methods and agile development in a mission-critical setting

We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
