To perform distribution and transfer services for the departments within SIU Medicine.

**This position is ON SITE only.**

Distributes furniture, equipment and supplies to SIU Medicine locations;

15%
Moves and sets up furniture, including tables and chairs for SIU Medicine events;

10%
Receives and unloads trucks delivering to the School of Medicine;

35%
Picks up and delivers mail to/from main post office and campus, sort, process
and distribute mail to all SIU Medicine locations

5%
Keeps accurate records on deliveries, supplies and equipment as required;

5%
Performs other duties as assigned.

Credentials to be Verified by Placement Officer

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Knowledge of simple clerical procedures.
2. Ability to follow instructions.
3. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, such as moving heavy objects, bending, standing, lifting, and other manual dexterity tasks.
4. Willingness to work, as directed, in all kinds of weather.

Condition of Employment:

Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, an out-of-state resident who is hired into this position must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of their start date.
