Position Summary:
The Category Management Manager is responsible for developing and managing key strategic category management initiatives with our buyers, including the modular relay process and category performance measurement. The successful candidate will proactively identify trends, uncover opportunities/threats, and influence the strategies and tactics that will enable the customer to grow sales and share within the market. This is a critical, strategic leadership position within the Category Management team.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Ability to influence and inform category strategies with advanced knowledge of Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising & Pricing that leads to improved category performance.
  • Comfortable developing strong relationships with Buyers and cross functional partners.
  • Prior experience leveraging and informing category, shopper and consumer insights.
  • As owner of the modular relay process, the ability to manage large projects and resources is critical.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Shopper Behavior in Scintilla
  • Expert in leveraging data resources with advanced proficiency in using Syndicated Data (Circana)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills at the Executive level. Ability to interact confidently and effectively with team members, management and customer contacts.
  • Strong capability to leverage influencing skills to gain alignment and commitments (internal/external).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment that focuses on solutions.
  • Proficiency with common tools of the trade, including space management tools, assortment optimization tools, and MS Office Suite.Specifically, role requires expertise in JDA.

Education and Work History:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related field preferred.A combination of education, training, and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
  • CPG experience required.DSD experience preferred
  • 5+ years experience in Category Management
