Principal Business Analyst, GTM Systems - Hybrid based in Lexington, MA

At Mimecast, we protect organizations from today's most advanced cyber threats-and we're growing quickly. As part of our Digital Transformation Office (DTO), the GTM Systems team plays a critical role in shaping the technology and workflows that power our endtoend revenue engine. We're looking for a Principal Business Analyst to lead complex, crossfunctional initiatives and elevate the impact of our business analysis practice. If you're energized by solving multisystem challenges, partnering with senior stakeholders, and mentoring fellow analysts, this role offers the chance to shape how our GTM systems scale and evolve.

As Principal Business Analyst - GTM Systems, you'll be the strategic leader driving clarity, structure, and alignment across Salesforcecentric programs that span the full leadtoorder lifecycle. You'll partner with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Deal Desk, Operations, and RevOps to translate business needs into actionable requirements-and ensure smooth delivery all the way through user acceptance testing and golive. You'll also serve as a mentor and standardssetter within the BA team, helping elevate documentation quality, processes, and problemsolving approaches across workstreams.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead requirements analysis and documentation for Salesforcebased GTM workflows across leadtoopportunity, quotetocash, billing, renewals, and customer lifecycle.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and futurestate process designs.
  • Create business process flows using BPMN, swimlanes, data flows, and business rules matrices.
  • Drive UAT planning and execution while ensuring all teams are aligned and ready for golive.
  • Develop user guides, process documentation, training materials, and troubleshooting resources for L1 support teams.
  • Support QA teams with test scenarios, documentation, and handson collaboration.
  • Lead knowledge transfer sessions to ensure stakeholders understand process and system changes.
  • Mentor BA peers, set documentation standards, and act as a goto resource for complex problemsolving.

What You Bring:

  • Strong background in Salesforce platforms such as CPQ, Revenue Cloud, Sales Cloud, billing, or quotetocash.
  • Deep understanding of GTM processes including lead routing, opportunity management, quoting, pricing, ordering, invoicing, and renewals.
  • Proficiency with documentation and collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, or Visio.
  • Expertise in requirements elicitation, user story writing, BPMN, data flows, and business rules modeling.
  • Experience creating UAT scripts, test plans, and partnering closely with QA teams.
  • Ability to confidently communicate complex GTM workflows to diverse technical and business audiences.
  • A leadership mindset-someone who guides peers, elevates standards, and drives consistency and collaboration across teams.
  • Preferred: Salesforce certifications, exposure to Marketo, NetSuite, Clari, or Gong, cybersecurity/SaaS experience, data migration or integration exposure, or familiarity with Agile or change management frameworks.

The base salary range for this position is $144,000-$216,000 plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and additional benefits, in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location with individual compensation also dependent on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.
