The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide Campus is seeking a dynamic and student-focused Career Development Advisor to join the Center for Career and Professional Development. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, virtual environment and enjoys supporting students and alumni throughout their academic and career journeys.

The Career Development Advisor partners with internal departments, alumni, and employers to deliver comprehensive career services, support internship and co-op programming, and enhance career readiness initiatives. This position plays a key role in advancing strategic initiatives, leveraging career technology platforms, and contributing to the overall success of Worldwide students and graduates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized career coaching to undergraduate and graduate students and alumni, including resume development, interview preparation, networking strategies, and job search guidance.

  • Support the administration and coordination of the Worldwide Co-op/Internship (COIN) Program and C.A.R.E.E.R. Ready Club.

  • Assist with planning and execution of career expos, industry events, conferences, and graduation-related activities across various modalities (virtual and in-person).

  • Support implementation and management of career technology platforms including Handshake, Quinncia, CareerShift, Interstride, and related systems.

  • Deliver orientations and training sessions for students and alumni on career-related systems and resources.

  • Monitor and manage communications through the Worldwide Career Services inbox.

  • Collect, analyze, and report graduate placement data.

  • Develop instructional materials, presentations, newsletters, articles, blog content, and social media communications to promote career readiness initiatives.

  • Collaborate with the Daytona Beach and Prescott CCPD offices, Alumni Association, Office of Professional Education, and other university partners.

  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in alignment with NACE and NCDA standards.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and process enhancement.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the Center's mission.

Compensation:

The annual salary range for this position is up to $45,000. The final offer will consider the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience, along with applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs.

Qualifications

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree.

Required Experience
  • 0-1 year of related professional experience.

  • Relevant internship, graduate assistantship, or student-facing experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in higher education or student services.

  • Strong business communication skills.

  • Familiarity with career management systems and virtual engagement platforms.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
