Some of the groundbreaking technology and project opportunities include working with:

  • AILarge Language Models on our AI Document Processing Solution using AI to assist Claims in extracting critical data from pdf documents.
  • AINatural Language Processing (NLP) for Life New Business helping to summarize thousands of emails and identifying the most critical topics to solve.
  • Data Science Workbench, our platform used by data scientists to build reusable assets and delivery value faster.
  • ImplementingRetrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)and vector databases,key AI technologies,to help SBS solve Securian centric knowledge-based use-cases.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Champion the selection of Data and Analytics platforms and tools to be used across the enterprise.
  • Engage with users and vendors to execute technology proof of concepts that validate use cases and the value of new solutions.
  • Onboard new platforms and tools to ensure solutions are adopted effectively across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to identify tooling gaps and inefficiencies, and partner to implement solutions for their needs.
  • Research and experiment with data and analytics tools to stay at the forefront of technology trends.
  • Drive innovation and experimentation, matching business needs with technology solutions.
  • Ensure platforms and tools are up to date and follow security best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience working with cloud technologies and solutions.
  • Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to drive to outcomes.
  • Strong technical skills, with experience researching, implementing, and onboarding new technologies.
  • CI/CD Cloud deployment experience, experience using Git / GitHub
  • Passion and understanding of new technology and trends including database and analytics technologies, data science, AI and machine learning. Desire and willingness to continuously improve those skills and knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science orData Science.
  • AWS Certifications or experience using AWS cloud tools and services.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and organize requirements to identify options.
  • Implementingtechnology platforms and AWS servicesor application development.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data and data storage technology such as RDS Postgres, Redshift,S3,DynamoDB.
  • Experience with tools supporting the development of AI solutions such as;
    • R Studio Server, SageMaker, Python, ML Flow, Docker, Control-M enterprise scheduler.
    • Data Pipeline tools such as StreamSets.
    • Model Pipeline tools such as AWS Stepfunctions and SageMaker jobs.

#LI-Hybrid**This position willhave a hybrid working arrangement, workingin-officefor a minimum of3days aweek.**

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$72,000.00 - $134,000.00

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
