Position Summary

This position leads branch-level production activities, ensuring efficient execution of lending workflows, high-quality loan submissions, and strong customer experience. The role establishes short-term operational plans, oversees daily performance, and ensures that sales and operational practices align with organizational goals. This position partners with internal teams to resolve complex issues, support pipeline management, and optimize branch productivity. The role is also responsible for branch Loan Officer recruiting, coaching, training, and coordination of policies and procedures.

Personal loan production is expected in this role but is secondary to the primary leadership and branch management responsibilities. Individual production expectations are established at the discretion of the Director and may be adjusted based on market conditions, branch needs, and overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage branch production activities, including pipeline oversight, workflow coordination, and team performance.
  • Establish short-term operational goals that support loan quality, efficiency, and service-level expectations.
  • Create a positive work atmosphere for internal branch staff and spirit of collaboration with the builder partner
  • Ensure team adherence to lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and resolve escalated production issues involving underwriting, processing, closing, or borrower needs.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Processing, Underwriting, and Operations to support timely loan movement and issue resolution.
  • Monitor productivity, loan quality metrics, and branch performance trends, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Recruit, coach, train, and develop loan officers, sales support staff, and other branch personnel.
  • Review loan submissions for completeness and accuracy, assisting team members in strengthening file quality.
  • Communicate operational updates, policy changes, and expectations to branch staff and cross-functional partners.
  • Support branch growth initiatives and ensure consistent, customer-focused experience.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in consumer lending, lending sales, branch operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, sales, or a related discipline, or equivalent education
  • Experience supervising or managing lending, sales, or operations teams
  • Leadership responsibility for performance management and operational execution

Preferred:

  • Experience leading branch-level production teams or multi-role sales operations.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage products, investor guidelines, and workflow processes.
  • Experience in coaching loan officers or supporting high-volume production environments.

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

  • Advanced knowledge of lending practices, loan workflows, and production standards.
  • Ability to solve difficult operational and customer-impact issues using experience and judgment.

Working Conditions

This role is market-based and requires regular in-person presence in the assigned division office. Work is performed in a general office or branch environment, with frequent interaction with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and customers. Extended periods of system work and communication are required. Occasional travel may occur for training, leadership meetings, or branch support.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods during system or documentation work.
  • Frequent use of computers, communication tools, and loan systems.
  • Ability to lift and carry light materials such as loan files or reports.
  • Ability to move throughout branch or office environments for collaboration.
  • Sustained concentration when reviewing detailed loan or pipeline information.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $75,000 plus bonus and commission
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
