What We're Looking For:

If you are an experienced, people-focused leader looking to make a meaningful impact, then you will be excited about the Manager of Business Systems opening with Iridium on our Enterprise Applications team! As a Managerof Business Systems, you will drive the evolution of enterprise applications that support Finance, HR, Operations, and other key business functions. In this role, you'll manage a team of analysts and systems specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, empowering them to deliver scalable, user-centered solutions that improve business performance.

What You'll Do:
    Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of business systems, including Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and other enterprise applications
  • Foster and develop a highly effective and customer-oriented team, in which accountability, clear and effective communication, and leading by example is consistently demonstrated and prioritized
  • Mentor, guide, and coach your team by performing regular check-ins, discussing career growth opportunities, giving effective and constructive feedback, and acknowledging / correcting performance issues when necessary
  • Partner with the business to identify and provide solutions to meet business requirements and/or resolve technical issues with supported applications within appropriate timelines
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with application stakeholders, operational stakeholders, end users, and other IT staff
  • Deliver technical solutions for the Enterprise, expanding usage of technology and ensuring best practices are followed, , illustrating familiarity with the same tools we provide internal customers
  • Effectively plan and execute sessions for application deployments; oversee implementation and testing
  • Lead agile events like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives to foster collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Manage relationships with external vendors including obtaining statements of work, development, and negotiations within a timely manner
What You'll Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Information Systems, or related discipline
  • 8+ years' experience in the Information Technology field, with demonstrated ability to manage progressive responsibilities
  • Experience with (successful) technical delivery of Enterprise Applications; implementation management, platform upgrades, patches, and configuration changes with minimal disruption
  • Strong knowledge of business processes across finance, supply chain, HR, and operations
  • Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
  • Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile principles
  • Must have experience working with business users to establish priorities and manage expectations
  • Proven track record for delivering consistent results of high-quality and on time deliveries
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey products, deliverables, analysis, and/or issues clearly and confidently, and confidently recognize and adapt to different communication techniques
  • Have a people-oriented mentality and be able to build valuable relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership
  • Have the capability to be a strong leader, motivator, and source of direction for your team; exhibit strong role modeling behaviors and commitments to individual, team, departmental, and company goals
  • Have a strong sense of urgency in driving projects to completion and be motivated to achieve outcomes and results
Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:
  • Extensive knowledge of IT policies, standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Experience with business application platforms (e.g., ERP, HRIS, ServiceNow, etc.) and cloud-based business applications (Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Contracts, ITSM)
  • Relevant certifications in business systems, project management, or leadership (e.g., PMP, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, ServiceNow Administration)
  • Experience with cloud-based enterprise applications and services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
  • Experience with regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX) and ensuring compliance in business system implementations
We'll also need you to:
  • Be willing to work after hours as needed, up to 25% of the time, for critical support and scheduled system changes
  • Work a hybrid schedule that includes 60% of your time (3 days per week) in office
  • Be a US Citizen
Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
