Qualifications

VNE, LLC is looking for an AFSO/ IT Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:



  • High School Diploma/GED


Experience:




  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Active DoD clearance (or ability to obtain one).
  • Experience supporting NISPOM compliance in a cleared facility, or govt/military equivalent.
  • Hands-on IT systems administration experience.
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-171 and CMMC requirements.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.


Preferred:



  • Experience supporting DCSA audits or inspections.
  • Security certifications (Security+, CISSP, CISM, etc.).
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365 / Entra ID environments.
  • Background in government contracting.



Key Responsibilities

Industrial Security (AFSO Support)



  • Assist the FSO in maintaining compliance with NISPOM and DCSA requirements.
  • Manage personnel clearance processing, DISS administration, indoctrinations, and debriefings.
  • Support DCSA inspections and periodic self-assessments.
  • Coordinate classified visit requests and DD254 documentation.
  • Ensure proper safeguarding, storage, and accountability of classified materials.
  • Maintain security training, awareness, and audit documentation.


IT & Cybersecurity Management



  • Oversee enterprise IT infrastructure, including endpoints, networks, and secure systems.
  • Manage identity and access controls (e.g., Entra ID / Active Directory).
  • Implement and maintain NIST SP 800-171 controls, and support CMMC and ISO 27001 compliance.
  • Administer endpoint protection, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Support incident response, risk management, and security documentation.
  • Maintain secure system configuration, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Track IT assets and support lifecycle management.



Job Description:

The Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) & IT Manager supports the company's industrial security program while managing day-to-day IT and cybersecurity operations.

This role assists the FSO in maintaining compliance with NISPOM safeguarding requirements, managing personnel security clearances, and supporting DCSA inspections. The position plays a key role in protecting the company's facility clearance level and maintaining audit readiness.

In addition, the AFSO & IT Manager oversees enterprise IT infrastructure, endpoint management, identity and access controls, cybersecurity implementation (including NIST 800-171/CMMC and ISO 27001 requirements), and secure system administration. This individual ensures reliable and compliant IT operations while supporting risk management, incident response, and overall information security posture across the organization.

Essential Duties of the Job:



  • Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
  • Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
  • Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face

  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. general office environment).
