Responsibilities

We are seeking an Expert-Level Integration Engineer with deep expertise in the integration and deployment of spectral exploitation tools. In this role, you will lead the engineering, deployment, and integration of a spectral exploitation environment that serves as the foundation for Image Scientists to process, analyze, and exploit literal and non-literal data.

You will integrate this environment within the broader NSG TCPED enterprise, ensuring seamless interoperability across applications, services, and infrastructure. This is a senior, strategic role requiring both technical leadership and enterprise-level systems thinking to maintain the integrity of a complex system-of-systems architecture.

You will collaborate closely with systems engineers, image scientists, developers, and government stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, end-to-end mission solutions.

Key Responsibilities

    Engineer, deploy, and integrate a comprehensive spectral exploitation environment within the NSG TCPED enterprise

  • Lead the establishment of an integrated PED environment for spectral exploitation, enabling Image Scientists to employ advanced tradecraft tools

  • Ensure applications and systems interoperate across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructures

  • Provide expert technical advice to the government on vision, strategy, plans, requirements, process improvements, and capability development

  • Assist in translating mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements and engineered solutions

  • Support systems integration activities across large, complex system-of-systems or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments

  • Perform planning and analysis, including requirements traceability, architecture traceability, workflow analysis, and process automation

  • Support strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design

  • Maintain the integrity, performance, and scalability of enterprise spectral exploitation capabilities

Location: This position is fully onsite in either Chantilly or Springfield, VA



Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Imagery Analysis, or related STEM field (or equivalent additional experience)

  • 18+ years of related professional experience, 4 additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree, or 2 additional years with a non-STEM degree

  • 5+ years of experience integrating sensor programs into large, complex system-of-systems or Service-Oriented Architecture environments across cloud, on-premises, or hybrid infrastructures

  • 5+ years of NGA program/project experience

  • Experience integrating spectral data into spectral exploitation tools

  • Experience integrating solutions using cloud-based technologies

  • Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle

  • Active TS/SCI clearance OR ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Imagery Analysis, or related STEM field

  • INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) Certification

  • Experience integrating spectral exploitation tools within SAGE/CAP architecture

  • Experience integrating advanced tradecraft tools used by NGA/ATS (e.g., Data Transformation Services, Full Spectrum Toolkit)

  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages

  • Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems (GIS), geomatics, or related fields

  • Demonstrated knowledge of current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises

  • Previous IC or DoD program/project experience

  • Experience integrating Automation, Augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence technologies

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
