You will support the Strategic Procurement Project Manager in executing strategic procurement programs and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities across Supply Chain Procurement. You will coordinate, track, and perform quality reviews of category strategy and SRM deliverables prepared by buyers, ensuring alignment with established frameworks, governance standards, and strategic objectives. You will maintain governance tools, trackers, and reporting, monitor milestones and commitments, identify risks or gaps, and support follow through with regular check ins with buyers and stakeholders. You will act as a liaison across procurement teams and cross functional partners to support audit readiness, transparency, and consistent application of strategic procurement standards. Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Support the Strategic Procurement Project Manager in the execution of strategic procurement programs and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities across Supply Chain Procurement.
  • Maintain SRM governance tools, trackers, dashboards, and repositories to support program rigor, transparency, and audit readiness.
  • Review buyerdeveloped SRM and category strategy deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with established frameworks and standards; provide feedback and comments as appropriate.
  • Track procurement milestones, supplier commitments, and open actions, and monitor progress against established timelines and governance requirements.
  • Support followthrough by conducting regular checkins with buyers and stakeholders to confirm status, surface risks or gaps, and escalate issues as needed; does not directly own execution of actions.
  • Monitor adherence to SRM and category governance processes and proactively identify and escalate risks, missed milestones, or compliance gaps.
  • Support bid strategy development and contract documentation through analysis of historical data, benchmarks, and internal standards.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree In a related field, such as
  • Business, Supply Chain,
  • Engineering, etc and 3+ years of work
  • experience or
  • Master's Degree In a related field, such as
  • Business, Supply Chain,
  • Engineering, etc and 2+ years of work experience
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Master's Degree In a related field, such as
  • Business, Supply Chain,
  • Engineering, etc 2+ years of work experience
Relevant Work Experience
  • Advanced; contract creation, contract management, end-to-end value chain cost
  • analysis, negotiation, sourcing strategy, issue management, risk management,
  • communication skills, motivating and developing other, required.
  • Effectively interact with various levels of management, union personnel, internal and
  • external customers and vendors, as well as outside agencies, required.
  • Demonstrates ability to accept challenges and use creative thinking to analyze data
  • and recommend solutions, required.
  • Understanding of Contract / Procurement Law, required.
  • Understanding of Supplier Analysis, Screening, and Selection, required.
  • Understanding Contract Administration, required.
  • Business Partner Relationship Management, required.
  • Advanced focus in customer service, required.
  • 5+ years of experience in direct or indirect Procurement work, Category
  • Management, Con Edison Operations, or Finance, preferred.
  • Con Edison Operational Knowledge, preferred.
  • Understanding of Oracle EBS, preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Driver's License Required

Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be willing and able to travel within Company service territory and supplier locations, some of which may require overnight travel.
  • Must be available to perform off-hour emergency buyer functions, some of which may require working extended or nontraditional
  • hours, including weekends and holidays.
