Nurse Resident/Registered Nurse - Medical Unit - 36 hours per week - 12 hour midnight shift Full-Time Benefit Eligible Shift: Midnights - 7:00 pm to 7:30 am with alternating weekend schedule GENERAL SUMMARY: Henry Ford Health Nurse Residency Program is designed to assist the novice nurse transitioning from entry-level advanced beginner to competent professional nurse. The twelve-month program will be facilitated by academic and clinical faculty/preceptors engaged in the progressive development of critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills. The Nurse Residency program supports the novice nurse in the delivery of safe, quality care within a collaborative interprofessional healthcare team environment. Additional support will be provided to the nurse residents in the form of peer groups, competency reviews and workshops. The nurse resident interprets the philosophy and goals of Henry Ford Health to others in the work setting; functions within established guidelines and demonstrates the ability to work effectively and develop therapeutic relationships with patients, their families and other professional and supportive personnel who provide patient care. Nurse residents will also participate in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and engage in implementation of solutions promoting optimum patient outcomes. UNIT OVERVIEW - Medical unit
