Waterproofing Estimator - Project Manager (Exempt)
Reports to: Operating Unit President
Position Summary:
Responsible for estimating waterproofing projects and managing them from pre-bid through completion. Ensures projects meet budget, schedule, quality, and safety standards while supporting profitability and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct site inspections; perform take-offs; develop scopes of work and pricing for labor and materials. Prepare bids, proposals, submittals, change orders, and secure supplier pricing. Manage projects from award to closeout, including scheduling, purchasing, invoicing, and cost control. Review contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and material slips for scope and policy compliance. Coordinate with prime contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams. Monitor labor/material costs to protect margins and increase revenue. Maintain inventory, equipment, and supplier price lists. Lead production teams and attend project meetings (pre-bid, start-up, progress). Address client inquiries, disputes, and past-due accounts. Ensure OSHA compliance and enforce company safety policies.
Requirements:
5+ years of waterproofing estimating experience. 4+ years of construction project management experience. Proficient in Edge (or similar estimating software), MS Excel, Word, and MS Project. Strong planning, organization, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. Ability to conduct take-offs and visit job sites (~50% travel; comfortable with heights). High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree (construction/engineering) preferred. Knowledge of basic accounting principles a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical site activities.
