Building Operations, Facilities Services - JLL What this job involves:As a Building Operations, Facilities Services at JLL, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our mixed laboratory and office facility. This position combines technical expertise with safety excellence, requiring you to maintain specialized laboratory equipment alongside traditional building systems. You'll be responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and facility inspections while upholding the stringent safety standards essential in laboratory environments. Your work directly supports our clients' operations and contributes to JLL's reputation for delivering exceptional facility management services in complex, regulated environments. What your day-to-day will look like:* Execute preventive maintenance schedules and complete repair work orders for laboratory and office facility equipment including fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, HVAC systems, and general building infrastructure * Perform regular facility inspections and assessments, documenting conditions that could impact client occupancy and operations while ensuring regulatory compliance * Maintain and repair building mechanical systems including chillers, boilers, air handling units, vacuum pumps, compressors, and specialized exhaust systems * Complete basic electrical work including lighting replacement, ballast maintenance, UPS systems, and generator support * Execute plumbing repairs and maintenance including soldering, brazing, and fixture repairs while adhering to laboratory-grade water system requirements * Navigate computerized work order management systems to update job status, document completed work, and communicate with operations team and clients * Conduct safety assessments, maintain compliance with hazardous material protocols, and participate in required safety training programs Required Qualifications:* Minimum 3 years of building maintenance experience with demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems, basic electrical work, and plumbing repairs * Experience working with laboratory equipment including fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, vacuum systems, and specialized exhaust equipment * Strong safety mindset with understanding of PPE requirements, hazardous material handling, and regulatory compliance in laboratory environments * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to navigate web-based work order management systems * Valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles safely * Physical capability to lift 40+ pounds, work from heights, climb ladders, and perform maintenance tasks in various environmental conditions * High school diploma or equivalent with strong documentation and communication skills Preferred Qualifications:* Technical certifications in HVAC, electrical, or facility maintenance disciplines * Previous experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or research laboratory facility maintenance * Knowledge of building automation systems and energy management platforms * Familiarity with EPA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements for laboratory facilities * Basic carpentry and general construction skills for facility improvement projects * Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and mobile work order applications Location: Onsite This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Estimated compensation for this position: 58,240.00 - 70,720.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
