Medical Secretary - Job Description Location: Onsite - Reisterstown, MD Pay: $18.50-$22.00/hr (Hourly, W2) Start Date: March 8, 2026 Work Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Dress Code: Plaincolored scrubs; professional appearance required. Work Environment * Fastpaced, busy medical practice * Home base: Reisterstown office * 100% onsite role Assignment Details Duration: 6 months Contract to Hire Experience Level: Entry Level Workplace Type: Onsite About the Role The Medical Secretary supports frontdesk and patient access operations in a busy outpatient environment. Responsibilities include patient scheduling, registration, insurance processes, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Patient Scheduling & Front Desk * Schedule patient appointments and procedures * Greet patients and manage checkin workflow * Handle multi-line phone systems Insurance & Administrative Duties * Complete insurance verifications and prior authorizations * Perform accurate data entry * Support registration and front desk workflow Customer Service * Deliver highquality customer service * Communicate effectively in a highvolume environment Required Skills & Experience * High school diploma * 1-3+ years in a medical office (Front Desk, Patient Registration, etc.) * EPIC experience is REQUIRED * Strong customer service skills * Comfortable in highvolume settings * Knowledge of insurance and preauthorization processes What's In It for You * Great company culture * Good benefits * Opportunity to grow within the organization * Stable schedule and consistent hours Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reisterstown, MD.
