Respiratory Therapist (NYC) - Night Shift

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join our Respiratory Therapy team! We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate Respiratory Therapistwho will provide our patients with top level care. You will also consult with other health care practitioners in the management or prevention of cardiopulmonary disorders.

Role Overview:

• Render respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner.

• Consult with and aid other health care practitioners in management or prevention of cardiopulmonary disorders, with minimal direction.

• Assess patient's condition and follow up to ensure appropriateness of therapy.

• Educate patients and their families regarding respiratory treatment/therapy.

• Assist in providing education to other departments regarding respiratory therapies and modalities.

Key Qualifications:

• An Associate's Degree in Applied Science and Respiratory Therapy.

• A current NY State Respiratory Therapist License.

• Current NBRC Credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

• BLS required, ACLS preferred.

• Pediatric/PICU experience preferred.

• Able to problem solve operational, personnel, and patient issues.

• Someone who has excellent communication skills, follow through and who supports the open expression of diverse ideas and opinions.

• Team focused and collaborative with other departments in the coordination of patient care.

Additional Information:

• Location: Main Hospital, 1275 York Avenue, in NYC.

• Schedule: Night Shift (7:00pm-7:30am), nights vary, includes weekends and rotating holidays.
