Role Summary

We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to drive innovation and enhance our supplier management systems. In this role, you will execute high-impact sourcing strategies to ensure the timely delivery of critical materials at optimum cost and quality. You will act as a key advisor to internal stakeholders, navigating moderately complex contract negotiations and identifying supply chain risks within a highly regulated environment.

  • Strategic Sourcing: Execute purchasing strategies for short- and long-term material requirements, ensuring performance metrics (delivery, quality, cost) are met.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead the negotiation process for requests for proposals (RFPs), change orders, and complex agreements to achieve best-value commercial terms.
  • Risk Management: Conduct gap identification and analysis to resolve supply chain risks; proactively manage the risk profile of critical suppliers.
  • System Optimization: Assist in driving innovation within "Procure-to-Pay" (P2P) workflows and improving overall ways of working.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Serve as a trusted business partner to internal customers, providing training on procurement processes and aligning supplier outcomes with internal needs.
  • Asset Protection: Ensure the highest standards of integrity in managing physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, including sensitive customer and proprietary data.


Qualifications & Skills
Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or contract management.
  • Proven ability to manage the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle.


Preferred (The "Standout" Candidate):

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in SAP environments, specifically utilizing Ariba Sourcing, Contracting, and P2P modules.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Experience with industry best practices, utility regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Strategic Decision Making: Ability to analyze complex information to make decisions regarding project scope, policy, and implementation.
  • Communication: Exceptional oral and written skills for formal correspondence and executive-level presentations.
  • Certifications: Professional designations such as CPM, CPSM, CPCM, or PMP are highly desirable.
  • Safety Mindset: A commitment to strict safety protocols and safe work practices.
