This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you will be the driving force behind a critical regulatory-driven documentation overhaul. You won't just be editing; you'll be a strategic architect, redesigning and modernizing essential operational forms and a vast core document repository. Your expertise will directly enhance operational clarity, ensure regulatory alignment, and significantly improve the usability and efficiency of critical information for field and office teams. If you thrive on independent assessment, complex problem-solving, and delivering solutions that streamline vital operations, this is your chance to shine. **What You'll Do:** As a key contributor, you will leverage your advanced technical skills to revolutionize how critical operational data is managed and presented. Your work will directly support regulatory compliance and operational excellence, ensuring that essential information is accurate, accessible, and actionable. * Lead the comprehensive overhaul and modernization of over 60 core operational forms, transforming outdated processes into structured digital formats.
* Strategically redesign and standardize formatting, including headers, footers, naming conventions, and version control across all documentation.
* Reorganize and enhance the usability of forms to significantly improve regulatory compliance and operational clarity.
* Convert legacy paper-based processes into dynamic, fillable digital forms (e.g., Adobe fillable PDFs, structured Excel tools, editable templates).
* Undertake the complete rebuilding and streamlining of a substantial 500-page main document repository, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment.
* Review existing documentation to pinpoint inefficiencies and proactively implement improvements in content, structure, and workflow.
* Maintain meticulously organized archives, guaranteeing the accuracy, consistency, and currency of all documents.
* Support threat identification and risk mitigation efforts by reviewing and interpreting maps, schematics, and technical system documentation.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and format operational data, supporting ad hoc documentation requests.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of how geographic and system data are documented and maintained. **Must-Have Qualifications:** * **Technical Review & Interpretation:** Proven ability to read, understand, and effectively work with maps, schematics, and complex technical drawings, particularly those used in industrial or utility environments.
* **Software Mastery:** Wizard-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat (including advanced PDF editing capabilities), demonstrating the ability to independently assess, redesign, and modernize complex documentation environments. This is not an administrative support role.
* **Data Interpretation:** Capability to interpret geographic and system data to provide crucial support for field operations and supervisors.
* **Documentation Management:** Experience in organizing system maps, updating references, and ensuring the accuracy of technical materials.
* **Collaboration & Communication:** Ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors, field staff, and operations teams to understand documentation needs and maintain clear communication.
* **Attention to Detail:** Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills are paramount.
* **Independence:** Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage large-scale projects, and drive initiatives to completion. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications:** * Familiarity with GIS tools or mapping software.
* Understanding of utility operations, construction workflows, or field documentation.
* Experience creating or maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Prior experience in the natural gas industry or another utility field (e.g., electric, water).
* Experience supporting transmission or field operations.
