We are seeking a motivated Business Intelligence Intern to support our data modernization efforts by helping migrate our reporting infrastructure from SQL Server to Amazon Redshift and strengthening our advanced analytics capabilities. In this role, you will assist with maintaining and migrating Tableau reports, optimizing SQL queries, validating data accuracy, and developing dashboards and adhoc analyses that address evolving business needs. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, document workflows, and support best practices for report development, refresh scheduling, and access management, while working closely with the Data Team to troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the migration process.

Ideal candidates bring foundational knowledge of Tableau, SQL, and AWS bigdata technologies, along with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and communicate findings clearly. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, an understanding of BI security principles, adaptability in a fastpaced environment, and excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:




  • Work with the team to maintain, update, and migrate Tableau reports from onpremise systems to AWS.



  • Build and enhance Tableau dashboards and reports using multiple data sources, including crossdatabase joins and data blending.



  • Use Python within Tableau to experiment with advanced statistical formulas and improve visualizations.



  • Support data migration efforts, Tableau integrations, and the use of extensions.



  • Check data for accuracy by comparing it to official financial statements.



  • Collaborate with business users to understand their needs and help shape dashboard designs and reporting strategies.



  • Gather and analyze data from different ACR teams, often pulling information from various systems.



  • Contribute to best practices for report development, testing, access control, and scheduling report refreshes.



  • Document workflows, processes, and system functionality to support team knowledge.



  • Work with Large Language Models (LLMs) by evaluating prompts, comparing humangenerated and autogenerated versions, and checking the accuracy of model outputs against original documents.




Foundational knowledge:




  • Strong understanding of Tableau and its core functionalities.



  • Technical knowledge of Tableau products and version differences.



  • Working knowledge of Python scripting.



  • Ability to interpret data and communicate insights to stakeholders and senior leadership.



  • Solid understanding of SQL and AWS data technologies (Data Lake, S3, Redshift, Athena).



  • Familiarity with dashboard and BI reporting best practices, including design and publishing.



  • Awareness of data security principles and implementation.




Qualifications:



  • Current undergraduate student (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related majors preferred)
  • Detail-oriented, curious, reliable, and mature
  • Eager to learn, self-driven and take initiative
  • Excellent communication (verbal & writing) skills required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.


What to Expect:





    • We will be conducting interviews beginning in March
    • Our intention is to extend an offer for this opportunity by mid-April
    • Interns will join the team on May 18th and conclude their experience on August 8th

Work Location: This position will have a Remote schedule. Preferred candidates will reside in the Eastern Time Zone so as to be able to work a 32.5 hour work week, Monday through Friday (8:30A - 5:00P EST) with every Friday afternoon off! Qualified candidates must have reliable internet service, professional discipline and have excellent time management skills.

ACR is committed to a total rewards compensation philosophy. ACR's goal is to pay competitively and equitably. Interns work a 32.5 hour work week remotely, from 5/18/26 - 8/7/26, with every Friday afternoon off! Depending on class level, a reasonable estimate of the hourly compensation range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00.
