The School of Education & Human Development at the University of Colorado Denver is a statewide and national leader for educational quality, access and equity across the education lifespan, from birth through higher education. Job Description
Assistant Teaching Professor of Education Foundations
What you will do:
* Teach face-to-face, hybrid, remote, and online undergraduate, masters and doctoral courses in Education Foundations and related areas.
* Advise and mentor graduate students and chair dissertation and Doctoral Research Project committees.
* Chair and serve on dissertation and Doctoral Research Project (DRP) committees.
* Infuse diversity, equity, & social justice content in all undergraduate and graduate level courses.
* Promote the expansion of the program's inclusion of and connection with international partners and members of Denver's diverse communities.
* Participate in faculty meetings; provide committee service in the EDFN program, in the School of Education and Human Development, and at CU Denver.
Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
* A doctorate in Education Studies and Research or related fields.
* An academic background with an emphasis in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
* Demonstrated success or potential for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses related to social justice, PreK-12 and higher education, and education leadership.
* Demonstrated success or potential for graduate and undergraduate level teaching.
Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
* Demonstrated competencies/success in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in critical theories, epistemologies, education foundations, culturally and linguistically diverse education, equity and diversity.
* Experience working with undergraduate and graduate students in instruction, advising, and mentoring activities.

This is a full-time (9-month) academic year clinical teaching position. Opportunity for summer teaching is available.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $80,000.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
