Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Spokane, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a government transit location. You will monitor and patrol stations, platforms, and surrounding areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. Working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first and act with integrity every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures and post orders, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities and surrounding areas, including platforms, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter routes, as assigned.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and security-related concerns, and help to deter unwanted behavior through visible presence and professional communication.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with supervisors and local public agencies as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
