Description Acara Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our client on a Temp to Hire opportunity located in Littleton CO 80127 Payrate: $27 - $33/hr. Shift: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts; overtime may be required. Temp to Hire Position Summary The Mechanical Assembly Technician supports spacecraft hardware assembly, component integration, and environmental test campaigns in a precision aerospace manufacturing environment. This role works closely with engineering and production teams to build, test, and document high-reliability space hardware. Key Responsibilities Assemble mechanical hardware per drawings and written work instructions Operate torque wrenches and precision hand tools to meet specifications Integrate components onto spacecraft and propulsion hardware Install project-specific sensors (thermistors, accelerometers, etc.) Support propulsion module and spacecraft environmental testing Troubleshoot hardware issues in collaboration with engineering Perform visual inspections (IPI) and ensure quality compliance Document build processes and maintain accurate records Follow AS9100 manufacturing standards and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship Minimum 2 years' experience in the following: Mechanical assembly experience Experience using hand tools and torque tools Experience performing visual inspections Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Experience with fabrication and test environments Experience in aerospace manufacturing Cleanroom experience Experience with non-conformance resolution Familiarity with Visio, Excel, or CAD software Strong time-management skills AS9100 manufacturing experience After you apply, you may receive a call or message from our AI Talent Scout about this role or other opportunities that match your skills and preferences.
