Acara Solutions is seeking a Production Planner / Expeditor to join our client on a Temp to Hire opportunity located in Littleton CO 80127
  • Payrate: $35 - $40/hr.
  • Shift: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts; overtime may be required.

Position Summary
The Production Planner / Expeditor serves as the tactical enabler on the shop floor, ensuring material, parts, documentation, and workflow move efficiently to maintain production schedules. This role clears bottlenecks, resolves shortages, and coordinates cross-functional teams to prevent delays and maintain operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
  • Track, locate, and move critical materials and parts across receiving, stores, and production
  • Verify part kits are complete, staged, and issued prior to work order release
  • Escalate shortages, non-conformances, and supplier delays to Planning and Procurement
  • Monitor purchase order status, supplier commitments, and logistics updates
  • Support technicians by resolving missing drawings, travelers, tooling, or documentation gaps
  • Provide daily readiness and shortage reporting to Planners and Senior Operations Manager
  • Coordinate across departments to maintain production flow and schedule adherence
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
  • Minimum 3+ years of planning, expediting, or manufacturing operations experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of working with ERP/MRP systems (Costpoint preferred)
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems to manage production schedules
  • Experience coordinating multi-project production workflows and staffing
  • Ability to monitor daily progress and mitigate schedule risks
  • Experience working cross-functionally to resolve production and warehouse issues
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
