As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Nampa, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed, driving Security Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly while delivering customer service to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating communications with site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor and report unusual conditions, suspicious behavior, maintenance hazards, and/or policy violations, completing clear incident reports and activity logs.
  • Support access control and visitor management activities, including checking credentials where required, providing directions, and assisting with crowd and/or event support as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card/license is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
