Job Description




As a Security Officer - Driving Role Patrol in Darlington, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, so you may move between areas as needed while documenting activity and assisting employees and visitors with professional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, building entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe site activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance issues according to post orders.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
