As an Armed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond calmly to situations, provide strong customer service to employees and visitors, and document observations using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific policies, completing required access control steps, and/or supporting emergency response activities.
  • Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal training, post orders, and applicable laws while performing security-related duties.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation when appropriate and timely notification of site leadership and/or emergency services.
  • Conduct regular and random armed foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial areas, production floors, loading docks, and exterior perimeter to help to identify suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity documentation, and communicate relevant observations during shift turnovers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
