Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will support guests and associates through clear communication and customer-focused service with Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative team culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail or shopping center location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, common areas, entrances, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, and fire or alarm activations, and notify site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential loss prevention concerns, helping to deter unwanted activity through visible presence and timely reporting.
• Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates to management and/or local law enforcement as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer Service Experience - preferred.
• Guard Card/License - preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
