Overview

LMI is seeking a talented User Success and Design Strategist to support the Department of War's cutting-edge Supply Chain Risk Evaluation Environment (SCREEn) platform development. In this role, you'll work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure user needs are thoughtfully incorporated into the development process, resulting in a seamless, commercial-grade UI/UX experience within the Advana WebApp environment. While the position offers remote work flexibility, candidates must hold an active Department of War security clearance.

Responsibilities

    Work with users and subject matter experts to clearly understand and define their challenges, problems, motivations, triggers, and aspirations
  • Work closely with product managers, product owners, UX/UI designers, full-stack engineers, and developers to design and build solution mock-ups and prototypes
  • Create a wide range of design artifacts, such as design system components, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and journey maps
  • Integrate internal company Senior Leadership Team UI/UX guidance into the Advana WebApp environment, ensuring alignment with organizational standards while delivering a user-centric, streamlined interface for the SCREEn platform
  • Solve problems and think critically to architect innovative and practical technology and functional solutions
  • Integrate elements of system, process, and interface design to demonstrate frictionless user experiences
  • Rapidly test designs with users in collaboration with other UX/UI designers
  • Incorporate feedback from user testing to inform design decisions


Qualifications

Required

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in design, user experience, technology, computer science, or related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in UI/UX design, customer success, change management, design strategy, system design, or system testing
  • Experience with software development or web design, code development, and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with design tools, such as Adobe XD, Balsamiq, Figma, InVision, Sketch, Zeplin
  • Experience with Agile-based development, JIRA or other project management software
  • Strong understanding of user interface design principles (consistency, simplicity, usability)
  • Effective communication skills to articulate and defend ideas with peers, stakeholders, and leadership
  • Effective analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter and eager to work or lead in a team environment
  • Technically adept and business-focused to interface across technical disciplines and with senior leaders
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and apply them effectively to practical solutions
  • Ability to take on multiple perspectives ranging from business end users to solution architects, engineers, and developers
  • Active DoD Secret clearance

Preferred

  • An understanding of supply chain or supply chain risk concepts
  • Experience working in an agile software development framework
  • SAFe certification
  • Human Centered Design certification
  • Human Factors Engineering experience

The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.

The target salary range for this position is up to -$155,000.
