Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Trip Leader for the Recreation department.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Handles design of both on campus engagements and off-campus trips ranging from day to week-long expeditions.
- Handles the physical and emotional well-being of trip participants for days at a time in often remote locations, as well as the instruction on the utilization of specialized equipment as it pertains to specific disciplines of trips.
- Teaches the fundamentals of interacting with the outdoor world to patrons in the field.
- Provides transportation via university vehicles, including vans and trucks as well as trailering trip-specific equipment.
- Serves as mentor/supervisor role for Trip Leader field staff on/off campus.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- At least two years of relevant experience in outdoor field, or comparable.

- Wilderness First Responder.
CPR/AED certification.- A valid driver's license would be required for this position.

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
