Job Summary

The Database Specialist serves as a liaison to Qgenda and Lightning Bolt. This position will work closely in a highly collaborative manner with the scheduling team, Clinic Medical Director, Division Directors, providers, administrative team and leadership.

The Database Specialist assists with change management processes and documentation of processes. The position will maintain provider preferences, call calculations, additional payment data and work patterns. The Database Specialist conducts data analysis and supports various evaluation and reporting mechanisms in an effective, timely and cost-efficient manner. The Database Specialist will document, report, coordinate, and collaborate with leadership in integrating stakeholder feedback regarding data information needs and refine practices using a customer service approach to ensure accuracy of data and database standards and serve as a lead contact for users and technical support.

This position provides daily analytical and scheduling support for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a critical technical position within the department. This position will ensure that faculty, fellows, residents and providers are accurately scheduled. Work closely with the Division Administrative Staff to implement SOPs related to time away, call and coverage for department activities. Work with clinic management and staff regarding space allocation ensuring the accuracy of clinic spacing and usage.

The Data Systems Analyst will serve as the primary technical and operational expert supporting enterprise clinical scheduling platforms, with a focus on QGenda and Lightning Bolt. This role is responsible for system configuration, optimization, data integrity, reporting, and end user support to ensure accurate, equitable, and efficient provider scheduling across clinical departments. The analyst will partner closely with clinical leadership, administrators, Human Resources to translate operational needs into well designed scheduling system solutions. #CA-SB

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position

  • Bachelor's degree in business technology, data analytics, information systems or related field, or equivalent experience with substantial data coordination, data monitoring, project management and custom scheduling information systems.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, establishing and fostering cooperative and collaborative working relationships. Effective oral and written communication skills to engage and collaborate productively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in data management and data analysis with a focus on best practices with data governance and maintaining keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in developing, preparing and designing reports, and data visuals for a range of audiences and data literacy levels.
  • Experience working with complex data systems such as scheduling systems, Epic, including testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting email triggers and automations.
  • Experience with system configuration.
  • Demonstrated skill in, software and web apps (e.g., Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills; Box; Google Workspace); at least one of the following Survey Platforms (Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting pre-configured rules and triggers in software systems.
