YOUR IMPACT

We are seeking a Director of Channel Sales to lead and grow our business partnership with Best Buy. This role is ideal for someone passionate about retail strategy, energized by collaboration, and motivated by driving measurable results in a fast-paced retail environment. You will serve as a key liaison between our internal teams, vendor partners, and Best Buy's merchandise planning and operations teams to deliver growth across Best Buy retail stores and BestBuy.com.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with vendor operations teams and Best Buy merchandise planning partners
  • Collaborating with Best Buy teams on sales initiatives to drive revenue growth
  • Developing and executing programs and initiatives that systematically expand business across all Best Buy retail locations and BestBuy.com
  • Planning, managing, and executing Best Buy-sponsored events to strengthen partnerships and maximize impact
  • Creating and managing sales promotions aligned with business objectives and retail seasonal opportunities
  • Analyzing sales performance metrics to identify trends, issues, and root causes, and make data-driven recommendations
  • Managing in-store product assortment and inventory to ensure optimal sales performance
  • Partnering cross-functionally to ensure execution excellence and alignment with business goals

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Experience working with Best Buy on the corporate retail or vendor side is required
  • Working knowledge of Best Buy's internal item and inventory management systems
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting and grouping data, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  • Clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • BS/BA degree preferred

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we're happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.

Salary Range: $161,200 - $201,500; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.

California Residents: The pay range above is a reasonable estimate of salary based on pay scale, candidate experience, skills, and education. In addition to the comprehensive benefits noted above, the role may be eligible for bonus or commissions.
