This position serves the MultiCare Good Samaritan Foundation, advancing its work to support MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital and expand access to highquality care for the communities of East Pierce County.

Position Summary

The Major Gifts Officer is a vital role in identifying, cultivating and stewarding gifts of $10,000 in support of the mission of MultiCare Health System. In this role, you will partner closely across a team as you apply development expertise and innate capacity for relationship building.

Responsibilities


  • You will secure major gift-level contributions for the Foundations to meet annual and long-term financial goals
  • You will manage a complement of major donor accounts with all appropriate cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities
  • You will use Raiser's Edge to maintain effective record keeping of donor plans and activities, adhering to appropriate department procedures and polices


Requirements


  • BA/BS in business, communication or related discipline; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years professional experience in personal solicitation in fund-raising or like vocation such as personal banking or sales
  • Experience with computerized databases for fund-raising, subscription, or membership purposes, Raiser's Edge preferred
  • Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $93,954.00 - $135,221.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
