Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Detail in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and reports with calm professionalism. You will support access control, document activity clearly, and deliver standout customer service through strong communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Perform armed patrol duties and maintain readiness in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and all applicable laws and licensing requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, and access control issues, and notify appropriate parties as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter, observing for unusual activity that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or criminal activity.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate key information to site leadership, Allied Universal management, and/or law enforcement as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR have a college degree.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
