Security Officer - Package Screening

As a Security Officer - Package Screening in Chester, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech campus as a Screener, greeting employees and visitors while conducting access screening and ID verification. You will monitor assigned entry points, maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams to support smooth operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, and deliveries at entry points by verifying credentials, checking identification, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in process.
• Control access to the location by monitoring entry and exit activity, supporting badge compliance, and reporting irregularities per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as directed, noting and reporting conditions that may help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
