Executive Service IDD INVESTIGATOR 2 Department of Disability and Aging Nashville, TN Salary: $54,204.00 - $81,096.00 Annually Closing Date: 03/23/2026This position is designated as hybrid (In office and Remote). Background Check: This position requires a criminal background check. Therefore, you may be required to provide information about your criminal history in order to be considered for this position. A Motor Vehicle Records screening will be conducted prior to employment. At DDA, we are responsible for administration and oversight of services and supports for more than 1.5 million older adults and Tennesseans with disabilities. Job Overview: The Department of Disability and Aging (DDA) is seeking is seeking to fill an IDD Investigator 2 position. This position will be stationed in Middle TN and will be located in Nashville. Job responsibilities include receipt and triage of calls to the DDA Abuse Hotline with participation in On-Call Investigator rotations outside office hours and on the weekends and conducting investigations of allegations of abuse/neglect/exploitation wherein evidence is summarized in a final report and analyzed to reach a sound conclusion. Additional responsibilities include in person responses to egregious events per protocol and visits to event sites when conducting interviews/investigations. Local travel is required with some travel to other regions possible as this is a statewide position. Key Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Education and Experience: Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school and three years of professional investigative experience with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities or with the elder population. OR Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or other, relevant behavioral science and 2 years of professional investigative experience with DDA.
