Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine foot and vehicle rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors and employees at a government location by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Carry and maintain assigned authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting law enforcement and/or medical support when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Complete detailed written reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate observations and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
  • Have an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
