Position Overview

The HR Compliance Analyst supports the consistent and compliant application of Human Resources policies and employment practices across the organization. This role partners with HR and business stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations while supporting HR administrative processes and risk mitigation efforts. The position focuses on policy adherence, compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, and HR operational support.

Job Responsibilities




  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws including wage and hour regulations, time and attendance policies, and leave requirements



  • Support FLSA classification reviews and employment compliance assessments



  • Assist with the administration of background check and drug screening programs



  • Maintain reporting and documentation for Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Affirmative Action, and other regulatory compliance requirements



  • Support union and collective bargaining agreement (CBA) compliance and related reporting activities



  • Conduct periodic audits of HR processes and data to ensure compliance and data integrity



  • Track regulatory updates and communicate compliance impacts to HR and business stakeholders



  • Partner with Legal, HR Operations, and Talent Acquisition teams to address and resolve compliance issues



  • Maintain HR compliance documentation, policies, checklists, and process guides



  • Support HR operations through data entry, reporting, scheduling, and administrative tasks




Job Requirements




  • 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably with exposure to employment compliance or HR operations



  • Strong understanding of U.S. employment laws including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and Title VII



  • Experience with HRIS systems and compliance tracking tools



  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions



  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills



  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with HR teams and managers



  • High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information




Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience in transportation or logistics environments (e.g., large distribution or operations-focused companies)



  • Experience supporting background checks, drug screenings, or HR compliance tracking programs



  • HR certification progress or credentials such as PHR or SHRM-CP
