Position Overview


The IT Business Analyst - Own Brand Business Technology supports a large-scale enterprise initiative to consolidate multiple business systems into a unified technology platform for Ferguson's Own Brand division. This role plays a critical part in gathering and validating business requirements, supporting ERP and digital platform implementations, and ensuring accurate product data structures across systems. The analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to analyze processes, map data, support system configuration, coordinate testing, and ensure successful deployment of new business applications.

Job Responsibilities




  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements across multiple business units



  • Validate and refine existing requirements for ERP and related digital platform implementations



  • Document current business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements



  • Analyze system requirements including data inputs/outputs, information flows, and system integrations



  • Support configuration and maintenance of business systems across environments



  • Assist with creation and maintenance of product data structures, mappings, and datasets



  • Evaluate the impact of process or system changes on business operations



  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and align stakeholders



  • Develop and execute unit and functional test cases and validate testing results



  • Coordinate testing efforts across cross-functional teams



  • Assist in developing business cases and implementation roadmaps for new technology solutions



  • Support Agile project ceremonies and collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, and project teams



  • Provide third-level support by helping troubleshoot issues with production systems



  • Conduct system demonstrations and assist with training documentation when needed



  • Communicate project progress, risks, and concerns to stakeholders and leadership




Job Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience



  • 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis, product lifecycle support, or related technology roles



  • Experience working with digital platforms such as ERP, PIM/PXM, DAM, or similar enterprise systems



  • Understanding of product lifecycle management, data governance, data migration, and product data structures



  • Strong experience working in Agile environments and understanding of the software development lifecycle



  • Familiarity with system integration methods and data mapping processes



  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail



  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams



  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote



  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced and evolving environment




Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage X3, or similar systems



  • Experience with PIM/PXM platforms such as Salsify or similar product information management systems



  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile collaboration tools



  • Experience with GS1/UPC management, regulatory product data, or product catalog systems



  • Experience working with large datasets or complex digital product catalogs



  • Familiarity with PLM or DAM solutions
