Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The mission of Carolina Performing Arts ( CPA) is to spark curiosity, inspiring all members of our community to discover and more fully engage with the world. We collaborate with dynamic and compelling artists from across the globe to create novel, mission-driven performing arts experiences in partnership with our community. We also open our venues to others to explore, create, and celebrate their own work. Through the Office of the Executive Director for the Arts ( EDA), CPA oversees all artistic programming, campus and community engagement, marketing and fundraising for its presented, commissioned and produced work, and manages all operations of its venues including facility rentals, technical production, audience services and ticketing.

Position Summary
The Ticketing Services role supports the daily operations of the Carolina Performing Arts Box Office, ensuring efficient ticket sales, financial processing, and high-quality customer service for patrons and event clients. This position oversees front-line box office activity, including the supervision and scheduling of student sales staff, coordination of event-based staffing, and resolution of complex ticketing or customer service issues. The role also contributes to ticketing system administration in Tessitura, supports event builds and inventory management, and manages ticketing for campus and community rental events. In partnership with the Associate Director for Ticketing & Revenue and other internal teams, this position helps maintain accurate financial reporting, ensures compliance with university policies and security standards, and communicates ticketing policies to patrons and stakeholders while promoting a positive service experience.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
Experience conducting sales in a busy environment while providing professional customer service to both external and internal stakeholders

Demonstrated initiative with a proactive approach to problem-solving in order to balance competing responsibilities
Ability to build internal stakeholder relationships across the organization with staff, senior leaders, and team members in a manner that contributes to a values-driven culture
Ability to quickly achieve day-to-day proficiency with complex specialty software, such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams) and the Adobe Suite, cloud-based project management platforms or Tessitura
Knowledge of PCI compliance, credit card security, or ADA policies
Special Physical/Mental Requirements
Campus Security Authority Responsibilities

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
