At Baxter, our mission is to save and sustain lives, and as the Associate Director of Supply Chain at our Round Lake pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, you'll play a crucial role in making that mission a reality.

This role is at the heart of a major transformation, where you'll ensure our products are delivered to the right place at the right time. By coordinating the supply planning for raw materials and finished goods, you'll drive critical initiatives that optimize inventory, improve profitability, and respond to dynamic market conditions.

Your Team

  • Inspire a team of buyers, planners, and warehouse operations performing planning, purchasing, and distribution processes Together, this team replenishes Distribution Centers weekly (US, Canada, LATAM, etc).

  • Serve as a critical member of the Round Lake Drug Delivery Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

  • Collaborates with order management, sales and marketing, product management, manufacturing, suppliers, distribution centers, and third-party logistics providers to support business operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop, implement, and execute strategic supply chain processes in support of business objectives.

  • Lead warehouse operations activities including receiving, stowing, picking, and packing

  • Accountable for optimizing inventory turns, minimize excess and obsolete inventory through product life cycle management.

  • Responsible for leading planners through S&OP/Operating Review meetings. Your team will identify business critical issues, facilitate discussion, and decision making in support of goals and objectives.

  • Serves as SME for audits (regulatory, internal, etc.)

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA and APICS certification preferred.

  • 10+ years manufacturing/operations experience, including 3+ years of leading leaders.

  • Experience working in a plant or manufacturing environment, preferably Pharmaceutical.

  • Strong leadership skills including leading projects with broad scope and impact outside own department and promotes teamwork between departments.

  • Complete, in-depth understanding of all aspects of the business including profitability, inventory turns and service levels.

  • Embraces change, challenges status quo and makes recommendations for improvements to products and processes.

  • Must not be allergic to Penicillin or Cephalosporin Drugs.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $152,000 - $209,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive.
