Position Summary:

This is an hourly position that is responsible for determining credit limits and payment terms for customers; initiating collection calls and written correspondence on past due accounts while working cooperatively with customers and Benco personnel to secure payment, retain the customer and provide the best customer experience possible. The position requires that the team member must be able to identify and determine possible acceptable solutions, i.e., payment plans, BAPP loans, with Customer Finance Support Manager and Group Leads guidance.

Do These Responsibilities Interest YOU?



  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards to support the efficient operations of the department and company
  • Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills while serving as Benco's collections advocate.
  • Thoroughly reviews every account on hold prior to extending credit by obtaining a Customer Information Form and performing a soft credit check.
  • Efficiently generates emails and communicates to customers, Territory Representatives and Regional Managers to discuss and resolve delinquent accounts.
  • Accurately processes finance charge credits within established policy.
  • Present acceptable solutions to internal and external customers to reduce past due AR and decrease financial risk while not impeding Sales efforts.
  • Effectively address and resolve all equipment accounts that are 1 - 30 days or more past due.
  • Minimum account resolution standard is an average 40 customer contacts per day on past due accounts dependent on current workload and projects.
  • Effectively coordinates payment plans with territory representatives, equipment specialists, and accounting.
  • Approves transfer and reimbursement on equipment and merchandise accounts.
  • Effectively addresses billing issues relating to problem installations.
  • Performs check, ACH and credit card processing on accounts.
  • Makes collection calls on IDP merchandise accounts 61 days and over and/or 31 days on Strategic Market accounts.
  • Effectively performs account reconciliations for accounts past due.
  • Efficiently runs a TRW/D&B credit report on new accounts to determine credit-worthiness.
  • Sends 60 day dunning letters to customers.


Do YOU Meet These Requirements?



  • 5+ years of experience supporting customers in a professional setting
  • Previous credit and collections experience, preferred
  • High School Diploma, required
  • Effectively communicates (reads, writes, and speaks) English
