JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Fleet Maintenance Driver responsible for coordinating, scheduling and reporting fleet maintenance needs across multiple departments here in Florida. Assisting with administrative work to include active monitoring of monthly transportation logs, auto insurance claims and GPS tracking.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm.

Transports residents/patients and staff to and from corporate facilities and appointments; coordinates fleet maintenance activities to ensure vehicles remain safe, operational and compliant; actively monitors vehicle GPS tracking and monthly vehicle utilization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Transports residents/patients/staff to and from corporate facilities and other approved destinations.

  • Coordinates and schedules routine and preventative maintenance, repairs and inspections and service appointments.

  • Assesses fleet maintenance needs by monitoring vehicle conditions, identifying service concerns, and reporting safety issues promptly.

  • Assists with filing auto insurance claims and coordinating follow-up through final completion of claims with reporting supervisor.

  • Maintains mileage logs, vehicle maintenance records and expenses.

  • Actively monitors GPS tracking systems to ensure vehicle accountability, routing efficiency and operational compliance.

  • Accompanies residents/patients/staff to appointments; assists them into and out of vehicles.

  • Works independently and with reporting supervisor in managing daily vehicle readiness, scheduling and fleet priorities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Defensive driving course; ability to work independently

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to access vehicle safety and maintenance needs

  • Experience utilizing user dashboards and monitoring GPS tracking systems

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level

High school diploma or GED required.

Years of Experience

Six months' experience as taxi, van driver or truck driver required.

Certification/Licensure

Valid Florida driver's license; safe driving record (free of moving violations for previous one year).

Standing - 20%
