In keeping with our organization's goal of improving the lives of the Guests we serve; the Psychotropic Nurse plays a critical role in providing superior customer service and nursing care to all guests and families. The Psychotropic Nurse will be responsible to screen and assess all patients in the facility on psychotropic medications, as well as administer a psychotropic reduction program.

This role operates in a health care setting and requires regular walking to various locations around the facility while pulling or pushing carts. This position works mostly in the guest care areas as well as in occasional outside weather conditions. This role may also come into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.

Requirements:

  As a minimum, an unencumbered State of Illinois Registered Nurse, RN license.

  Three (3) years experience as a Registered Nurse in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.

  Prior experience managing a psychotropic program in a healthcare facility required.
