The Department of Labor and Industry is seeking a Clerical Assistant 2 to join their team! This position works under the general supervision of the Director of Admissions, coordinates and facilitates specific Hiram G Andrews Center (HGAC) admissions functions between referral sources and HGAC's Student Affairs, Education and Student Services Divisions.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As the Clerical Assistant 2, you will receive and process referrals of prospective customers and prepare a utilization of the S Drive and student information system (SIS) for use by Admission Committee members during screening. You will follow existing procedures and upon receipt of an accepted case, schedule customers for admission based on existing program openings and guidelines. Other duties include:
- Types and prepares correspondence such as acceptance letters, rejection memos, memos requesting additional information and confirmation letters.
- Enters documents into CWDS. Reviews requests for additional information and outstanding referrals on a monthly basis and reports findings to supervisor.
- Generates a list of scheduled customers 4-6 weeks prior to admission date and sends list to designated supervisors for case assignments. Upon receipt, processes case assignment information, then prepares and distributes the Scheduled Admission List.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
