JOB SUMMARY This engineering position is focused on our Generator Manufacturing Division and is responsible for supporting the overall manufacturing process. The Quality Engineer ensures products and processes meet safety, regulatory, and company standards through inspection, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Engineer partners closely with production teams, engineering, supply chain, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations, compliance, and continuous improvement across all stages of manufacturing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and Implement Quality Systems: Establish, implement, and sustain quality standards, procedures, and process controls for manufacturing operations.
- In-Process & Final Inspections: Conduct inspections and tests of raw materials, components, in-process assemblies, and finished products to verify adherence to specifications.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor production quality metrics, analyze trends, and generate reports to support decision-making and improve process performance.
- Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving: Investigate nonconformances, equipment or process issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence.
- Production Support: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve shop-floor quality concerns quickly, minimizing downtime and scrap.
- Supplier Quality Management: Partner with suppliers to verify incoming material quality, address issues, and ensure conformance to specifications.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure manufacturing processes comply with relevant industry and regulatory standards.
- Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate inspection records, process instructions, control plans, and corrective action reports.
- Training & Development: Train operators, technicians, and production staff on quality requirements, inspection methods, and process standards.
- Auditing & Process Verification: Conduct regular internal audits, layered process audits (LPAs), and supplier audits to assess compliance and system effectiveness.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to reduce defects, improve yield, and enhance process efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience).
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing quality engineering, process quality, or production support.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, inspection methods, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies.
- Proficiency with quality management systems.
- Strong communication skills for working across production, engineering, and supplier teams.
- Proven ability to identify problems on the production floor and implement effective solutions.
