The RoleThe Senior Commercial Office Specialist is responsible for organizing, authoring, and presenting customer facing responses including budgetary quotes, requests for information, proposals, market assessments, and contracts. Senior Proposal and Contract Specialists are a liaison between DGM's Sales Managers, Executive Management, Solutions Engineering, Product Management, and potential customers and have the ability to manage complex proposal and contract deliverables that may fall outside company standards.

As a Senior position within the proposal and contract team, you will provide quality oversight for other proposal and contract deliverables, while also working with the team leadership on process improvement initiatives. Your Impact
  • For your assigned proposal and contract projects, define the approach, maintain ownership and accountability for the schedule, align the business position to corporate objectives, ensure quality deliverables, and manage full authorization and approval of the final customer-facing package.
  • Review understand RFPs from both nationwide and worldwide AspenTech customers.
  • Ensure financial details for each proposal/contract follow AspenTech's needs for Banking, Legal, Security, Development, Business/Commercial Terms and Conditions.
  • Prepare and manage customer correspondence and communications.
  • Follow and reference historical pricing and market assessments to support internal pricing reviews.
  • Facilitate the corporate authorization and approval process - adherence to corporate guidelines and commercial model.
  • Work with Solutions Engineering, Sales Management, Product Management, and Executive Management to determine approaches and prepare proposals and contract documents.
  • Act as primary point of contact with internal and external customers to provide support, administrative, and organizational services regarding proposals and contracts. Lead and participate in customer meetings and conference calls pertaining to proposals and contracts.
  • Provide up-to-date information into sales pipeline and forecasting data and do so with accuracy and aligned with proposal solutions as iterations are negotiated.
  • Work with a full range of AspenTech staff to identify and document commercial and technical risk for each proposal.
  • Work with minimal oversight to complete large-scale, complex proposals or where customer-originated terms and conditions require a coordination of a broad team of subject matter experts within the AspenTech organization.
  • Provide supervisor responsibilities to ensure quality deliverables and adherence to AspenTech processes for other proposals and contract managed by less experienced members of the team.
  • Offer suggestions and lead process improvement initiatives focused on improving the overall efficiency of the team.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Communications, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with proposal and contract administration, or related experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish desirable.
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in an international business environment; ability to work with customers, coworkers, partners in different countries, cultures, time zones, work styles, etc.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite of products.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar sales opportunity tracking system.
  • Experience with JIRA or similar work tracking system.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, any other languages desirable including Italian, Polish, Romanian, etc.

The salary range for this role is $77,900.00 - $97,400.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, charitable giveback day, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement benefits to eligible employees.
