GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr Business System Analyst DVI RSS support position will troubleshoot and solve issues with the DVI LMS system, educate and train staff, create SOP's, maintain and update the DVI system and the surrounding processes.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Recommends process improvement opportunities.
  • Upgrades, maintains,the DVI system and assists users with questions and problems.
  • Helps perform systems backups, and installs DVI patches and new releases.
  • Creates reports from the DVI system as directed.
  • Works with corporate resources to maintain satisfactory inventory levels.
  • Communicates with operations on how to use the LMS tools to reduce breakages and improve processes.
  • Deploy technical solutions that will support management proposals and project requests
  • Troubleshoots problems jobs and modifies DVI logic to optimize equipment utilization
  • Ensures that the DVI system communicates with all other corporate software platforms and provide missing data when those systems fail.
  • Works with IT to install and maintain hardware including servers and machines interfaces
  • Problem solve all issues with DVI software which may require assistance from teammates and/or DVI.
  • Availability and willingness to solve issues at anytime and plan ahead when being available is not possible.
  • Support and implment new product launches into the labs at the guidance of the new product development team.
  • Report on project progress in a clear, consistent and concise manner
  • Communicate and work effectively with teams to escalate any issues.
  • Suggest and create improvements and process efficiencies when identified
  • Follow process after implementation to ensure the outcomes are as expected and troubleshoot unexpected results.
  • Establish and troubleshoot communications between DVI and laboratory equipment.
  • Create SOPs to document new processes as created
  • Able to work on several projects at once.
  • Other duties as assigned


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience in the optical industry highly regarded
  • Above average IT/PC knowledge.
  • Experience with Excel, databases and other Office programs.
  • Some operations/manufacturing background


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written form to all management levels
  • Knowledge of IT Systems
  • Ability to work with others from different functional areas and levels within and outside the organization
  • Self-motivated with ability to multi-task on a broad range of assingments
