The Development Coordinator, Children's Miracle Network will be responsible for coordinating and executing various fundraising campaigns and initiatives, with a primary focus on identifying, cultivating, and stewarding active and prospective donors. This role plays a key part in engaging and stewarding corporate CMN partners at the $5,000+ level, as well as supporting CMN programs. The Development Coordinator will work closely with Foundation colleagues and WVU Medicine Golisano Children's Hospital partners to strengthen donor relationships, advance the organization's mission, and expand its impact in the community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Bachelor's degree-Marketing, Business, or Healthcare Related Field
EXPERIENCE:
2. Two (2) years' experience in communications, public relations, marketing

1. Assists the director in developing, managing, staffing and implementing fundraising activities in support of various hospital divisions, programs, and the Foundation's overall fiscal year goals.
2. Supports the CMN fundraising activities associated with some of the following: community groups, individuals, organizations, and schools, providing necessary oversight and guidance for the events and campaigns as needed.
3. Works with the director, Foundation colleagues, and hospital personnel to understand the funding needs of various divisions and programs, and works with various Foundation teams toward realizing those goals
4. Maintains CMN relationships with current fundraising organizations and/or individuals while looking for and developing opportunities to build new partnerships
5. Coordinates and manages all assigned activities and fundraising initiatives and attends fundraising events as appropriate/required
6. Assists with all other stages of department specific fundraising initiative planning and execution as needed.
7. Coordinates with the Family Resource Center Manager for weekly lunch partners as well as backfill the front desk when needed.
8. Work collaboratively with the Family Resource Center to expand available services and support community outreach. Align FRC programming and community engagement efforts with CMN values and hospital priorities
9. Represent WVU Medicine Golisano Children's at regional and national CMN events and conferences.
10. Serve as contact for CMNH corporate partners under $5K, small national corporate campaigns, programs and community events. Actively cultivate representatives and organizations to participate in fundraising efforts, including soliciting and increasing corporate sponsors, managing event logistics and effectively managing volunteers.
11. Promotes a culture of excellence, compassion, and family-centered service throughout both CMN and FRC operations.
12. Develop and maintain support materials including communication, marketing, collateral, budgets, stewardship and recognition pieces appropriate for the execution of the program.

1. Must be willing to travel throughout the state of West Virginia and the surrounding region multiple times throughout the week.
2. An average of 30-40% of work hours per week will be spent out of the office and in the community building and strengthening relationships with CMNH retail partners and CMNH program ambassadors.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Excellent time management and deadline management skills

2. Understanding of changing trends and technology in communications and in society, especially relating to an academic healthcare facility.
3. Skilled and respected communicator with exceptional writing, storytelling and presentation skills, along with sophisticated knowledge of visual media.
4. The professional presence and expertise to engage, build relationships and provide communications counsel to senior leaders, as well as other leaders, internal groups, committees and employees
5. Ability to formulate coherent communication strategies, to translate complex issues and topics into understandable language, and to tailor clear and persuasive messages to different audiences across a variety of communication platforms
