Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. The position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

About the Position

As the Wireless Network Engineer, you will provide network administration and technical support for the organization's wired and wireless voice and data network infrastructure. You will focus almost exclusively on the wireless portion of the network infrastructure. Responsibilities include assisting with network planning, design, procurement, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. We will count on you to support hardware and software installations, troubleshoot network issues, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical problems. Additionally, you will contribute to network documentation, operational planning, and policy development while escalating complex issues to senior technical staff when necessary.

NOTE: This position participates in a 24 x 7 on-call rotation.

We Require

  • One year of experience supporting enterprise wireless infrastructure

  • Two years of experience supporting enterprise network environments

  • Experience administering Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) in a production environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related field

  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

  • Three years of experience support large-scale enterprise networks

  • Experience with:

    • Enterprise wireless LAN controllers (e.g., Cisco WLC)

    • Cisco ISE for authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA)

    • 802.1X authentication and network access control

    • VLANs, routing, switching, and network segmentation

    • Troubleshooting wireless performance and security issues

  • Cisco ISE-specific training or certification

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification

Job Contributions

  • Administer and support enterprise wireless infrastructure

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to participate in a 24 x 7 on-call rotation.

  • Exerting up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly OR requires walking or standing to a significant degree.

  • Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

  • PPE for IDF and warehouse environments, when required
