The general pay scale for this position at MOH is $89,470.81 - $137,647.40 per year. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, etc.

SCOPE:

Directs the daily activities of accounting functions at the corporate office. Maintains responsibility for the preparation of monthly financial statements, maintenance of the corporate general ledger, accounts payable, payroll and employment taxes, and related accounting functions. Assists with financial analysis, budget preparation, and related financial duties as requested. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

-Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, key account reconciliations, and financial statements.

Ensure accurate recording of revenue, contractual allowances, writeoffs, and adjustments in coordination with revenue cycle management.

Prepare variance analyses for budget vs. actuals, trends, and rolling forecasts. And monthly reporting packages

Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting policies in accordance with GAAP and healthcare best practices and SOPs.

Monitor and analyze grosstonet revenue, payer mix, reimbursements, and bad debt/denial write offs

Support accounting for physician compensation models, including productivitybased compensation (e.g., wRVUs, any other key metrics).

Oversee accounting for medical drug inventory (if applicable), including reconciliation of purchases, usage, transfers and Drug Margin.

Support audits and internal reviews by providing schedules and documentation.

Strengthen and document internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting.

Assist with preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets, creating proformas and periodic forecasts.

Partner with department and/or service line leaders to evaluate cost structure, productivity, and staffing models.

Track performance against key financial and operational metrics (visit volumes, revenue per visit, margin per provider).

Supervise and mentor accounting staff.

Coordinate with Revenue Cycle Management team, Practice Operations, Human Resources (payroll and benefits), External CPAs. Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the Practice Controller, Executive Director and other lead Administrators.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and minimum 5-7 plus years accounting and financial reporting experience, with at least two year management responsibility. Prior public accounting and/or healthcare experience preferred. GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience. Knowledge of fiscal management, accounting, and finance practices. CPA preferred.
